♥ Chin Pimples... December 31, 2012
After my previous few post on squarish face make up, the viewing has increased tremendously.
And it seems like a regular record of my concerns on my appearance seems to be the same issue that everyone is facing...
Well, let me now chat a little of acne/ pimples. It's good to understand what's the root of the problem before finding a solution to those irritating pimples!
Currently I'm having 3 big big BIG pimples on the chin that is about 0.5cm in diamete. And according to the both images, they're diagnosing to a different cause. Left- Hormonal Pimples, Right- poor kidney function.
Actually I have no idea which of the images are showing the right information. Currently, I am experiencing PMS, hence, hormonal pimples might the cause. But also, it might because of the toxins in my body due to constipation, poorer digestion and bad quality of sleep etc.

1. Home Remedies
I've tried to search for home remedies to help me reduce the swell of these humongous
pimples. Some say that rubbing alcohol on the pimples to the "ripening" of the pimples. Instead of using alcohol like beer or hard liquor, I chose to use toner. As toner actually has alcohol I thought it might just help. After rubbing, I did the usual skin care procedure, moisturiser and ending off with pimple cream. It didn't help with the "ripening" but I felt like it did help to absorb the pimple cream, but did it reduce the swell... No. And now, I'm beginning to worry it's cystic acne.
So the next day I tried the second home remedy that I've read- Tooth paste. Well, it doesn't exactly help to reduce the swell, it just managed to numb the pimple-ache at that area. I'm sure many girls would understand what I'm talking bout, it's like a blue-black aching feel that there's something there on the face but yet, it's not like doing a massage or rubbing some medical lotion/ cream will help reduce that feel. Yet, the peppermint feeling in the toothpaste does help to numb the feeling. Conclusion, it does help a little for that few hours before sleep it did make me not think of those pimples, (cos I can't feel it) and so I wouldn't touch and try to squeeze them.
2. Diet
I've decided to do more research and many of the websites and articles actually mentioned about diet. So let me recall on what new intake recently.
i. Milk
Milk is not my daily routine intake liquid. I'll only drink it when I feel like it or when I walk to the diary part of the supermarket. Usually, I'm at the instant food section. Opps. And according to some articles, it did mentioned that milk might cause hormonal changes within the body and the body will need some getting use to. And it suggested to steer clear of milk at the moment to check if it is really the root cause. Well, it might because of the particular type of milk as well. If you're a person who REALLY requires milk as daily intake, try changing them to low fat milk, or change the brand of the milk. It MIGHT help and let me repeat, the word is MIGHT. Otherwise, you could try drinking soymilk in the mean time to see if soy works out. As soy is of plant origin, it doesn't cause hormonal changes. The only issue is if your body can absorb it good as a milk from animal origin.
ii. Chocolate.
As it's the year end and overseas trip is the main entertainment during this part of the year. I had my friend buying back chocolates from Swiss! Aren't they known for their milky and smooth chocolates? It's on my office desk and I'll eat 1 piece of it everyday. Chocolates- they're made up of FAT, OIL, SUGAR. 3 big items to avoid for one who is on diet and erm... maintain beauty. The only solution, force your colleagues to gulp the chocolates away so you will not see them any longer! Plus, they'll get the pimple break outs and weight gain too! Opps, I'm mean and I know it! Who cares! It's the SEASON TO BE JOLLY!
iii. Meat and lesser vegetables
It might be because of all the festives season, everywhere is coming up with festive menu. Turkey, steak, grill, bbq... What's more?! It tastes better with baked marshed and fried potatoes (fries), ain't I right? It used to be salads and seasonal vegetables etc. Ok, let me stop pushing the blame on the joyous festivals and instead blame myself for not able to resist the food temptation! So now, I'm reminding myself to stop all the fried food, meats and have more fruits and vegetables. Fruits as in those that are loaded with Vitamin Cs and vegetables that are best eaten raw and green in colour!
iv. Drinks
Like I say it's the festives that is to be blamed. Everyone is drinking and I mean alcohol (and sugar drinks!) STEER CLEAR and I remind STEER CLEAR! Those are wanted criminals of all time and there's no method of keeping them jailed, the only solution is to STEER CLEAR!
And the next drink to reduce and if possible stop the intake- COFFEE! As it contains large amount of caffeine, it actually does adds on the the burden of liver and kidney. Hence, more toxics for them to filter away! Caffeine in tea seems to be less problematic as there's far more benefits like anti-oxidants in tea than the disadvantage of the existance of caffeiene.
4. Lifestyle changes
So they say you have to change your lifestyle to improve your body condition! They always like to start of by saying EXCERCISE! Goodness, who can understand the pain of excercising? Nevermind that, I've come across this article suggesting to include abdomen massage to help the digestion and excretion of toxics as part of your excercise. This is damn ultimate to me as many people may be long distance joggers, good swimmers and even goes to gym everyday but still, they can't visit the toilet frequent enough and that's because they've forgot to excercise their digestive organs. Stomachs, intestines need their work out too! Doing some sit up and massage actually help them move about and help move those toxics out of your body too!
Next, increase intake of chlorophy, ie, green vegs! Like I mentioned previously, greens is the way to go as chlorophyl is the natural cleanser and contains anti-oxidants. I've read that pet fishes which are being soaked in chlorophyl are healthier too! This website I read suggested buying liquid or tablet form, but what's more affordable than vegetables?
Clear Skin supplement?
So it says! The descriptions says it extracted from Burdock (a herbal root) Since, it is an extract then why should you buy the supplement that cost you $22.15 (AUD) when you can get it in the supermarket for about $5 (SGD). It's a great ingredient for soup and chinese double-boil dessert. If you need recipes, you might wish to try out Ellenaguan's blog!
Fish Oil. YUMMY! That means omega-3 and SALMON is the answer! No doubt, they're telling us to reduce the intake of salmon from alaska (or is it norway?) Just because it's not sustainable, we're afarid that the amount of salmon is greatly reducing and they'll face extinction in that region... STAY CALM! There's other fishes which are loaded with omega-3 too! There's sardines, smelt, shad and anchovies! If salmon is what you're looking for, why don't try farm salmons?
Zinc+
Zinc intake actually does help control the sebum oil secretion. Food that are high in zinc, 1. oysters, 2. toasted wheat germ 3. liver 4. LOW FAT roast beef 5. Dried watermelon seeds... *grins* I absolutely LOVE oysters! When should I go have my oyster indulging session...
PS: will update again with the status of the 3 (powerful and invincible) musketeers.. hopefully soon with good news~
